TPI Golf Functional Assessment

Precise, TPI Certified movement screening for golfers of every level. See what’s really behind your swing.

What Is a TPI Golf Functional Assessment?

TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) is the world’s leading educational organization dedicated to studying how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. For over twenty years, TPI has built the largest technical database in golf, collecting 3D motion capture, force, pressure, launch monitor, strength, power, and movement data on everyone from Tour professionals to everyday golfers.

That research led TPI to a clear finding: a properly functioning body allows a golfer to swing efficiently, while physical limitations in the body can affect the swing and potentially lead to injury. TPI calls this relationship the Body-Swing Connection, and it’s the foundation of every TPI Certification course, including the one behind your assessment at Pro-Action.

TPI’s philosophy is simple: there’s no single correct way to swing a golf club. There’s one most efficient way for each golfer, based on what their body can physically do. Our TPI Certified practitioner uses this same approach to look at your body before we ever talk about changing your swing.

If You Don't Assess, It's Just a Guess

That’s TPI’s own rule, and it’s the one we follow. Before we talk about your swing, we look at your body. A proper TPI screen covers:

  • Swing mechanics and biomechanics
  • Physical fitness and strength
  • Movement quality and mobility
  • Current health and injury history

The TPI movement screen is a quick, straightforward test of your physical capabilities. Your results show us how technical elements of your swing may be connected to what your body can, or can’t, currently do.

From there, we will build a unique plan for you. Depending on what your screen shows, that plan may include chiropractic care, physiotherapy, targeted exercise, or a combination of all three, all coordinated under one roof at Pro-Action.

TPI Assessments That Go Further

At Pro-Action, a TPI assessment is never a stand-alone screen. Our TPI Certified practitioner is backed by Pro-Action’s full team, so if your screen uncovers a physical limitation, you have direct access to chiropractic care, physiotherapy, and treatment technology to work on it.

We apply for our Test. Treat. Re-Test. methodology at every visit so progress is never a guess, it’s something you can see and track.

What to Expect at Your TPI Assessment

1

We Assess

Your first visit includes a full TPI movement screen covering swing mechanics, biomechanics, fitness, and injury history, so we can identify what’s really affecting your swing.

2

We Treat

Based on your results, we build a plan using the right combination of techniques, whether that’s chiropractic adjustment, ART, targeted exercise, or another modality, to address what we found.

3

We Re-Test

Before you leave, we re-test the same movements assessed at the start. You see the difference firsthand. No guessing, just measurable progress right there in the room.
